The Twig skeleton tries
To whisper to me via
The wind through his jaw
But, he only makes a whistle
And that is all.

The Twig skeleton winks at me
And moves through
The dead branches beneath
My feet.

He hops onto my shoulder
Scribbles his name in frog blood
On the flesh of my cheek.

The Twig skeleton is very
Small and he rides on a
Hog-nose snake, to eagerly meet
The Toad king.

He has some grand plan, but
he needs the amphibian clan,
Without them, he can never
Find Nocfayland.

Well to his unfortunate dismay
Today would be his last day
Because the Hog-nose snake ate
The king. Damn! Swallowed him whole!
And before the snake shit him out,
His Salamander guards seized and
Crushed the Twig skeleton into dust.
